No. I have them because I love them. I would still have a dog even if breeds ceases to exist.

I gave up my vehicle though and as long as I have city transport, that's cool.

I do miss driving though.

Realizing that civilization is going to collapse is no reason not to enjoy the perks of being in one
now. I'm not giving up refrigeration or allergy relief until I have to either.

Collapse aware people tend to be more aware and appreciative of modern life. They're not taking it for granted like people with their heads in the sand. They're incredibly reflective most of the time.

They're also preparing for that time to what they think is best, or not, choosing to opt out instead. Depends.

And yes, it's an eclectic and interesting group. Get to know them, rather than taking some content creator's word for it when they're making money off stoking grievance.

Someone else's opinion about the end of the world isn't going to hurt you.
