No, I don't live in Austin or Texas. I should have been more clear about the geography of the situation.

I recognize there have been people fighting the good fights for quite some time. I'm one of them too, for several issues, and for years.

The problem is, Austin is already won. Fighting in Austin is continuing to poke at corpses on a battlefield that has already been taken.

Who's fighting in Luckenbach, TX? Who's making the case in Loving County TX? Who's winning hearts and minds over in those isolated areas near Ft Davis TX?

In the end, it doesn't matter how big you win in Austin. Not if you can't carry more counties overall. The game is rigged toward land, not population. States draw the voting maps. In the end you've got to carry more votes across broader swaths of land. It's that simple.

The same thing goes for all red states. And for all these voting issues. Most especially on non federal level votes. Carry the state and that will filter up to the federal level.

You want healthcare? Make your case in Smut Eye, Alabama. (Don't laugh, that's an actual town). Lay out for them why it will help them too. Keep your word.

You want CRT in schools? Make your case to Ding Dong Texas. (also a real town name). How will CRT in schools benefit them? Right now all they're hearing is FoxNews propaganda. Whatever promises you make, keep your word.

You want reproductive rights safeguarded for women? You need to prove to Knockemstiff, Ohio (see what I did there? Still in the land of real places) how consistently voting in religious hypocrites and hacks will hurt their families and their community. Stay true, don't conflate, hold up your end. Keep your word.

And so forth and so on.
