No doubt guys like this, this extreme exist. Many others may have a tendency toward leaning that way given the opportunity to varying degrees.

But in no way does this assessment apply to all men any more than all women are Kandys.

Plenty of guys are fine with reality and doing fine in life because of it.

Plenty of women are also fine with reality and doing fine in life because of it.

Plenty of both are doing fine not chasing after sex and/or romantic relationshios and all the trappings that go with them. They start to thrive in life once they leave that behind and focus on other relationships.
