I have a scar on my arm from a dog I used to have when we were playing and he accidentally got me instead of the top we were playing with.

The dog knew to apologize and make amends (in the case of hitting someone accidentally, that's making sure they're okay and calming down your energy or activity level).

So if a dog instinctively knows this is the correct course of action....what excuse, legit excuse, do you imagine this guy has?
