Never. Here in the real world, compassion empathy, and care are not the responsibility of or purview of men. All that gets dumped in the laps of women.
It's not that men aren't capable, let's be clear. The ability to empathize is a human ability, not a female one.
But this is part of the conundrum of ending the tyranny of gendering human characteristics. We live in a highly genderes world by how we are socialized from birth. As a result of what's already established, on a societal level, men have already shown they are incapable of showing that grace.
Individual men will. A few more will reluctantly accept if pressured. Most will just go along with the majority and never think about it too much, preferring the status quo, whatever that is. And then a small majority will be vocally aggressive against change.
