Neither am I. Again, that’s not where I was going with my comment. You erroneously made that assumption based on your own bias and maybe because of media saturation.
But I’m not part of the media. This was a comment on an opinion piece. Nothing more. Nothing less.
No. You live in this culture as either a male, female, both, neither, or in transition from one to the other.
Mating strategies are varied but anyone looking to find a mate, whether it’s to produce children or not, has a strategy for success. Doesn’t matter if you’re male or female or whatever. Doesn’t matter if you’re even consciously aware of it.
There are signals and cues we all give off to express interest, availability, desire, intent, or lack/disinterest in any of the above.
We are animals. We’re not so removed from the natural world that those impulses, drives, and behavior have disappeared or faded away.
Which comes back to the same thing. If you are a male and you would like a girlfriend, and your strategy isn’t working, you’re options are to try it on a different type of girl more likely to respond favorably, or to change strategies.
The same applies to females and LGBTQ.
It doesn’t matter what you saw on the internet or TV. Nor are those things an accurate representation of the culture you live in. That’s art, a veneer of the complexities of life and culture.
