narcissist is a casual adjective. It means to be overly fixated on oneseld or self absorbed. Just because the DSM added an entry for a clinical mental condition they also named Narcissism (note the capitalization to delineate between the two) diesnt negate the original definition and use of the word. The fact is, narcissism is quite common and nearly every single one of us will drift toward narcissism or narcissistic behavior at some point in our lives. That just means we become a little self centered and maybe strut around with our heads up our asses, it doesn't mean we're a Narcissist who needs either therapy or maybe even jail, depending.
