Because his espoused strategy doesn’t work in preventing future tantrums. It actually encourages more of them. It’s pretty obvious how ineffective it is.

Anyone who has ever cared for a toddler knows this or learns it pretty quick.

Perhaps if we left all the younglings in their care more than 30 minutes at a time, then men would stop spouting so much ridiculous nonsense. They might also be forced to grow up and think about more than themselves once in a while.
