Most welcome. Keep your chin up. It’s a turbulent time and everyone’s emotions are running high and frayed.
It was a good, well written article. I had commented under someone else’s comment too about forgiveness. I think there is value in forgiveness, considering. That said, it cannot nor should it be forced or coerced. People need time. I hope you get the time you need.
I also hope you can get to the point of forgiveness. Not for them, for you. They don’t deserve the energy or the time your hate or rage gives and feeds them. It prevents you from moving forward. If I can throw my own verses paraphrased: “Don’t throw your pearls before swine. Shake the dust from your feet.”
Forgiveness in this sense is putting the cross between you, not about giving someone who has wronged you a bye to do so again. That has profound value.
I hope you get there because your words and your conviction are strong; you can do a lot of good in this world.
But you don’t owe anyone your forgiveness and if you choose to forgive, do so on your terms.
