Most people are afraid of snakes too but your chances of actually being bitten by a poisonous snake is 40,965 to one.

Only 1 in 50 million people die from snake bite.

Conversely, your chances of being struck by lightninf are 1 in 15,300 and roughly 10% of that number will die.

In other words, the fear might be real, but that doesn't automatically equate to it being rational.

Fear of false rape accusations is irrational.

Also, feminism supoorted #MeToo, but #MeToo was not started by feminism. It was started by a woman who was assaulted, gaslighted and abused further by the system, and then told her story online. Another woman responded "me too". And then so did everyone else.

It was an unplanned outpouring of grief and compassion amongst ourselves for the assaults we endure in this culture.

It didn't have a thing in the world to do with men's feelings or fears. It was for us because women and survivors get no succor any-damn-where else.

And by the way, there were a more than a handful of men brave enough to share their #MeToo stories too.
