The Bible itself is a compendium of spiritual texts or books that existed separately like wiccan works or buddhist works until the Council of Nicea in 539 C.E.
I'll allow that using the term Holy skewed my meaning. More specifically I meant a compendium of spiritual texts that did not instill inequalities and taught humanist respect toward everyone. Also, as you mentioned, it must allow for evolution of thought and to be proven wrong.
I think there is a place, need, and desire for such a text. You may be right though, it would just be corrupted eventually, as the Holy Bible has.
