Mark's ceitique is based on his belief, not on objective fact. He believes liberals don't listen because they're less prone to arguess, in general. But just because someone doesn't engage with you doesn't mean they're not listening to you.
Furthet, right wing rhetoric and talking points are fairly boilerplate. Right wing advocates are generally low information folk. Right wing concepts are often new to them because they're generally not the type to go looking into these things by themselves.
Just because some right leaning noobie is all excited about this new rhetoric he/she heand dooisn't mean it's new to liberals. More likely, liberals have alreany heard it, examined it, looked into it, and considered it.
It's like suggesting you're in an echo chamber necause you have no interest in hearing some 10 year old scream at you for 3 hours detailed instructions on how to tie your shoes when you learNed all about tying your shoes back when you were 5 years old.
The propaganda machine of the right far outplaces the left. We've heard it all before. It's not new. At all.
Why continually consider things you've already considered? Especially from those who are basically looking for validation and permission to hurt and kill ppeople over their own egos?
Maybe if they want to be considered, they should lay off all the rhetoric on who should die next. And how.
Just saying.
