Lol. I get the idea from Christians. I wasn't talking about Islam and I made no mention of harems. Interesting and telling that you would bring them up. Most Christians would; they cannot fathom that anyone would see them as the bad guy. They just want to love Jesus, after all ...and make everyone else do the same.
Whether or not you want to aim Mormons, they are, in fact, Christians. They have the same Bible you do. They follow the teachings of Jesus. They just have an extra Holy Book.
But yes. It's some.of these more extremist iterations of the faith that preach rape and murder as part of heaven. Of course they don't use that language and they don't see it as that but calling a thing by the definition of that thing, is that thing whether you like the the word or not.
If you preach that that heaven isn't permanent and that God will destroy you if you don't submit to his will...that's murder. You're saying God will murder you just like he did all the people and babies he drowned in the flood.
If you preach that when we all get to heaven husbands and wives will maintain matrimony and wives will be subordinate to their husbands and obey his will without fail and you DON'T also specify that there's no sex in heaven, then you're saying that rape is okay in heaven because you're either removing consent / the right to say no or you're saying that there is no free will in heaven. Either way, by any definition in the world today, that is rape.
And I can tell you from personal experience that THIS is what some young men believe and are very excited about. They fully understand what is being said even if the preacher does not or tries to obscure the truth of what he is promoting. They see it as fair or a reward.
You'll say these are radicals and don't represent the body of Christ. That's what people said about purity culture 30 years ago.
Whether you want to believe it or not, Christianity has a lot of problems and a lot of fringe beliefs gaining traction.
