Learn from us, our mistakes. This right wingnut minority spent years building up political power. They used gerrymandering effectively to rig the electoral college. They indoctrinated an entire generation with prosperity gospel nonsense based on some really obscure old testament prayer and falsely equated prosperity (biblically it means to increase and is not directly tied to money. It’s used as a verb in the prayer which means ‘work to increase’) with financial wealth. They slowly put every far right in office they could. They refused to negotiate with the other side and demonized their political opponents. They undid every opposition policy and left things floundering.

They’ve corrupted the entire government. I’m not even gonna get into the cronyism.

Watch the rhetoric from news shock jocks. Keep churches out of politics. Combat extremism.

The tactic is that they start little fires everywhere, making it impossible to put them all out. They depend on your politeness and clinging to civil precedent and good faith standards to slow and dampen push back. But they are faithless to Democratic process. Ergo, maybe they don’t deserve your politeness.

Push back with initiatives on educating the populace on Democratic process and their role as citizens to protect democracy. Push back hard.
