Keeping in mind that as a woman, I can never sit inside the heads and hearts of men to know for sure what's going on with them....

Based on my observations of male behavior, based on what they say based on things I've read, etc....

When men hate, it's always personal. It's red hot. It's visceral. It triggers fight response. It's kill or be killed type of mentality. It's anger and rage and loathing and disgust.

When men experience hate it's the same thing. They feel that hear, that rage directed at them. They feel diminished, threatened.

This is not the emotional landscape women feel or experience with hate. It can be those things, but those things are rare.
