Karen started out life as a way of calling certain white women out on their entitled behavior; especially in regards to calling the police on black people just minding their business.

However, it was destined to, and has, become a generalized gender slur. It’s too broad a term. It doesn’t punch the right way.

Hey, I’m a middle aged white woman. I have never been called a Karen by a POC. My behavior does not warrant it because in public I am friendly, respectful, and considerate.

I’ve actually been called Karen a lot lately. Guess by who? Go ahead, guess. White men who get push back on their rude, sexist behavior. 20 something young women still acting like petulant little girls throwing their own form of tantrum.

Like saying something asinine like, "white men are marrying more of us than white women. Get used to it. It’s the future."

Have you considered that, if that’s actually the case, it’s because white women won’t have them anymore? It hasn’t gone well for us. But you go ahead, and bag yourself a white boy. Good luck with that.

In all seriousness, maybe you’ll have better success straightening them out than we white women have had. We will all benefit.

That will leave more MOC for white women. It’s an appealing thought. On average, black men have treated me better in public that white men. Asian men are the absolute bomb. Pacific Islanders are so sweet. And my Indigenous brothers ... there just are no words. They’re an absolute delight; restful to be around.

And here’s a bonus for you. If WOC take all the white men and white women take all the MOC , white supremacy is gone in two generations. At long last.

We will be one race. The human race.

So while you may think you’ve just scored yourself a gotcha moment or whatever... nope. I happily embrace your future.
