Just saw a sick clip exhibiting just this phenomenon. That baptist pastor who raped a 16 year old. Maybe he's worried he's going to be outed by that report that came out so he "confessed" to the congregation about having had an affair years ago.
She's still in that church, got up and took the microphone and corrected him about the fact that she was underage and he started grooming her when she was 15. About how everyone knew and no one came stepped up. About how the lies and manipulations need to stop.
He starts playing victim again and saying how "they" were loved and people need forgiveness.
I'll be damned if the vast majority didnt rush up to hug and console him and lay hands. Couldnt wait to exercise forgiveness.
Right there in front of her. And was there any grace for her, any acknowledgement of any kind?
Nope. It was like she wasn't even there. Like her truth is merely a vehicle for his Christian journey of redemption.
But he has yet to do anything to warrant redemption.
So sick
