Just a thought (I’m not an expert, just thinking out loud) but perhaps some additional reasons men seem to be struggling more with Corona survival is that they tend to carry extra weight in their upper body rather than their lower body which will put more strain on the heart when in distress. Studies are showing that pre-existing conditions like diabetes and heart disease are contributing factors to mortality with Covid-19. It makes sense that the additional stress extra pressure around the heart due to weight distribution would further exasperate those problems.

Also, men as a cohort just don’t seem to be anywhere near as concerned or fastidious about hygiene as women. Could that lead to a higher viral load because of multiple exposures? Like why they think health care workers seem to be getting sicker quicker?
