I’ve made this analogy too; that men approach women like crack addicts. This is why women call men creepy oftentimes. It’s not social awkwardness, it’s the dehumanizing nature of seeing women as your next fix/hit and as a (temporary) salve to your addiction. Addicts in the throes of withdrawal are disgusting. That might not be nice to say, and they may need mercy and compassion but the bald fact is, they disgust most people. When men approach women like that, it will naturally disgusts them.

Pop culture is drowning in this imagery too. It’s rare to find a love song sung by a male performer where being in love or feeling desire is not equated or described as doing drugs or being high. And that’s supposed to be sexy, so it normalizes that type of public behavior as something that should be a turn on for most women.
