I’ve gotten the same sort of behavior from men. It’s definitely a red flag issue, male or female. For women, when men do this it’s one of the first steps toward domestic violence. It’s coercive control. They tend to rationalize and justify it by saying their previous partner cheated on them so they can’t help it.
