I've always loved that song and yes, I actually know the lyrics.
Ever since I really found out about fossil fuels in high school and it really sank in, in college it's been a progression into fine.
I'm not really happy. I have moments of happiness of course, but it's hard to be truly happy when you know that trillions of lives (not all of them human) are going to be lost. That it's all likely to crumble away. That so much is going to cease to exist. Often, I feel like Chingachgook. The most hopeful times are wondering what and who comes next.
Still. I'm fine. I'm content enough overall. Prepared to fight the good fight. Preserve and save what I can for as long as I can. Give the ones that follow their best chance to do the same. Hope for the best. And it's fine.
