It's only apocalyptic to citizens of western civilization.

And apocalypse is not guaranteed. There's still a decent chance that we'll see collapse of American empire but a reorganization of western civilization.

Also, collapse is always hard and it will hurt. But, it doesn't have to be brutal. We make that choice. Currently, we're choosing the brutal.path though.
