It's not. Jupiter Jones (see avatar pic) has never gone hungry a day in her life. She delights in pantry pilfering. Nothing deters her. Literally. Nothing.

On the other hand, it does make administering meds much easier. Just act like you're going to give said pill to the teenager instead. Jealously kicks in and she'll eat it no matter how bad it tastes. Predixtable as the sun rising in the east.
