It's not. It's rough if you're unprepared or find yourself there via catastrophic circumstances.

The job itself is doable. The job is not the problem.

What makes it so hard is all the societal bullshit shame and blame attached to it. Our society both falsely promotes and lauds mothers and punishes and tortures them in equal measure.

It's completely whacked.

None of the other mammal mothers are literally driven nuts by their social groups for being mothers. Just saying.
