It's not a red herring. And it's not nothing but a nuisance. It's stochastic terrorism and it marks women for further abuse. There's something to the idea that all forms of violence against women would reduce if street harassment did.

Secondly, there are things that men can do. They just chiose not to necause them tbeys have to give up their whipping girls and handle their own emotional shit for once. Everythinf from raising their sons without bias to being mindful of how they vote, making a point to learn nonviolent conflict resolution strategies, etc.

Nobody's saying there's a quick and easy punch list or that it's all on men. But there's truly an endless list of things that can be done to stop normalizing it.
