It's not 1% of them. There are a myriad of things that can go wrong over the course of 9 months.

Something like 60% of pregnancies are high risk. Fortunately most of those high risks are evaluated and treated but around 8% of those do end up experiencing deadly complications.

15% of all pregnancies (low or high risk) end in miscarriage. Pregnancy is not the walk in the park you men seem to think it is. Even with modern medical advancements, it's messy and bloody, and dangerous.

That's why it should be left to the woman and her doctor. Men who think ectopic pregnancies can be transplanted or that women can't get pregnant if they are raped don't know what the hell they're talking about. They clearly have no interest in learning. Them making such decisions WILL lead to more women dying in childbirth and more babies dying too.

The people who are going to be harmed the most from the overturn of Roe are poor and marginalized women and women who actually wanted their babies. Women who want or need to electively abort will continue to do so.

Thinking you can just stop abortion is a fool's errand. You cannot make someone accept motherhood if they don't want to.
