These days kids co.e with all sorts of mostly color coded accoutrements. Insane amounts of it. It's crazy. And it's going to be all over your house.

Fact is, beige and also grey happen to be a good base color for all the varying shades of blue and pink. That's why thise colors became popular wall paints.

Also true that the aesthetic had become another competition point amongst a certain mom tribe. Usually affluent and church going. Those moms are like dude-bros. They will make a co.petition out of literally any and every fucking thing imagineable and also ones where you're just like...."the fuck? Why??"

But that's not all moms. Maybe you just need better friends and to spend less time at church groups. Meet some normal people.

If it makes you feel any better, I once had one of these church moms ask me how I got the Urchling to be so much like me. Tbis is tangental to thinking of kids like accessories. This after she had made several spurious comments about my single motherhood and how that would fuck up my child. I told her Urchling wasn't born so much as came to me through a cactus-like budding process. One of God's many miracles.

She told me I was weird. But then, I don't 'do' beige so what do you expect?
