It's an option. One of many. It's not like everyone is going to respond to this shift the same. I suspect there will also be a run sterilization procedures.

Women may start demanding money before sex just in case, so they can travel out of state.

There will be more of a push on men to wear condoms. Tracking fertility and doubling up or abstaining from penetrative sex during ovulation.

And so forth and so on.

That said, there will be a percentage of women who can quite happily and easily forgo sex altogether or focus on toys/masturbation. For them, and the growing number of women who are just tired of dating men and opting out, civil unions may be the path forward.
