You talk about trusting the legal process. Cool.

Most women don't trust the legal process. There is rarely any justice for rape and other sexual violence or for domestic violence. The justice system has and continues to fail women.

#MeToo and #TrustAllWomen wouldn't have happened if the legal system provided Justice and deterrent fairly and equitably. If women had ever been believed in the first place. But we do have to fight against all the entrenched narratives.

Men need to fight against their entrenched narratives too but seem less inclined to overall.

You're right that backlash was inevitable and would be severe.

You're wrong that the legal system is the answer. It's a reflection of our values and our society does not value or respect women.
