It's a bit of a catch 22. I admit I've worried about it some.

That said, there's also no denying it protects their childhood, self esteem, confidence, mentsl health, self actualization....the list goes on.

And it doesn't make them gay, or bi, or confused about their gender, or any of that other bullshit. It just takes a lot of the unnecessary gender pressure off while they're young.

I have a 20 year old daughter who is okay with herself, zero body dysphoria, content and happy, knows who she is, happy with herself instead of self loathing, thinks the beauty market is weird, thinks the dating market is even weirder, and doesn't constantly compare herself to everyone else.

Do you have any idea how remarkable that is? In this culture? At this time?

Even Taylor Swift experiences body dysphoria and self loathing. She's struggled with disordered eating. So did Marilyn Monroe, and she was regarded as the most beautiful woman in the world at the time.
