It not just the mortality rates. The percentage of people with long term critical illness from Covid infection and lingering health problems is not a small number. It's about 30%, depending on how you break it down. The vaccine, while not absolute, DOES protect against critical illness. Why not get the vaccine to keep from bankrupting your family? To protect yourself and them from disability, loss of work, education, etc? So you can still afford to send your kids to college? So you don't risk losing your house when one of the family's breadwinners can't bring home bread for an extended period?

There won't be another bail out. The first one was squandered and the second one was spat upon by certain segment of the population.
