It is true that feelings are not facts. I appreciate that you have the emotional maturity to realize that as oh so many folks really.....just.....DO NOT.

I can also appreciate that you're writing as a means or processing persnickety feelings. They can be right bastards sometimes, can they not?

In that spirit, I have a pointed question that may or may not help that endeavor for you or anyone who might be following along. You dont have to respond and this isn't leveled directly at you, just an open question on account of how I had observed this particular sentiment arising from many a manfolk of late.

Is this really your thoughts and your feeling or are you absorbing it from other men due to general discontentment about our current iteration of dating culture? In other words, is it really women you feel used by, or the performative aspects of modern dating? Are your frustrated because dating culture has outlived it's usefulness?
