It has been interesting, hasn’t it?
In a way, it’s like we’ve been given species wide telepathy. Now everyone knows more of what’s going on in everyone else’s head and exactly what they think. Turns out, none of us like each other very much.
How could that be? ROFL.
And drama ensues.
It’s also a bit like being caught in competing rip tides, behaviorally. Narratives that are the loudest and get the most play are altering our behavior and pulling us out to sea. You get free of one to find yourself stuck in another.
Damn that algorithm. Sneaky bastard.
The evolutionary psychologists must be so disappointed. Muahahaha.
One thing that social media is teaching us in hard painful lessons is that the narratives we tell ourselves or are subjected to influence our behavior and thought processes a whole lot more than most people ever thought. We really do have very plastic snd programmable brains but few people have the skill set to “hack" into their own bad brain programming or reprogram with better code.
And there is so much fucking noise.
