It does put others at a disadvantage. They put themselves out there but you don't. You can see all of them, but they can't see you. I can see how it would unsettle people and push them toward making assumptions. It creates a tendency to poke or paw at something to figure out what it is just like an animal. You know?
That said, if you're famous or have some notoriety that will draw certain things/behaviors from the public I also understand the desire for some anonymity in public spaces where you can get it. People are weird. Fame strips you of your ability to be lost in or part of the crowd. You always stand out and stand apart.
Others just want to keep their private and peifessional lives separate. Lot of really good reasons for anonymity. People are so weird.
I thought about looking you up for a hot minute once. Something you said in one of your articles really provoked my curiosity. I'm pretty sure I could figure it out relatively quickly if I were to go diving around, probably just by what I know about you off the top of my head from following you for a few years.
But. Then I thought about how that might change things and how hard it would be to not slip that I know. So I didn't pursue it. Keep your privacy, it's better that way.
