It definitely all goes to hell once they go to school. If I had it to do over, I would have finagled things differently so that Urchling would have never set foot inside a school. It is no wonder to me that American kids are riddled with anxiety, suicidal, and nihilistic.

And that brings up an interesting point. Feminist Elica.lebon made a TikTok clip about how if men don't like that women are ditching their femininity in order to bebmore like men, then men should be creating the space for femininity rather than crushing it out of existence. In order for the feminine to thrive, it must have unmolested space to do so.

Taking those thoughts to the realm of masculine vs feminine traits...maybe when a culture goes through a period where violence and domination are lauded to extremes, either between individuals or by the state, things like compassion, empathy, and communication by necessity must lose ground because survival takes precidence.

I imagine 80s Poland was pretty difficult for young mothers.

I also don't blame Urchling and so many of her peers for not wanting motherhood. Conditions have changed significantly from when she was an infant to now.
