Inaccurate. Privilege isn't a golden ticket. All it means is that whatever goes weong in your life, being a white male means something about you doesn't arbitrarily make it worse or lengthen recovery time.
Thats it.
That's certainly not a golden ticket because there's no guarantee you'll succeed in life, just by virtue of being a white male. It's just statistically easier. But you have to understand how staristics work in order for that to make sense.
One thing that actually is a legit grievance point that NEVER gets talked about is how the "golden ticket" of privilege is a trap. It traps you as a man and forces you to maintain that privilege or the illusion of it (many times, it's absolutely nothing more than an illusion) in order to validate your own existence as a man.
As though gender is so fragile it must be validated by your constant, ceaseless performance in order to exist and have meaning.
How bizarre.
How come men never complain about that? Being forced into the role of custodial guard to everyone else in the insane asylum because we've all collectively agreed to give that much power and meabing to an abstract concept. A fiction.
