In theory, it is incredibly appealing. I admit, I too am intrigued.

The ethical part is the trouble. And, btw, I'm with you on that part completely. There are people who practice ethical non monogamy. However, there are a while lot more people playing at polyamory or non monogamy with zero attention or focus on the ethical part. So, you've got to be careful not to get snookered into an unethical situation that will blow up in your face.

My experience delving into the possibility of polyamory is that men tend to truly favor polygamy. They're cool with having sexual relations with multiple women but they demand "loyalty" in return. They really can't keep their jealousy in check. From what I've heard, women struggle with jealousy some too, but mostly it's about equitable time and finances in these arrangements.
