In general, there are several areas where we need to stop protecting nefarious characters and punishing victims. This goes along with what I was saying earlier.

If your "protection" more closely resembles a punishment, you're not going to accomplish your goal. Depriving children of their own internet communities, access to educational materials, art sites, and all the cool things on the internet rather than coming down hard on criminals only further 'criminalizes' youth.
