In fairness, I don't think it's so much "men" as individuals there is over the top animosity toward, but rather the constant barage of virulent anti-woman propaganda that simultaneously makes a parody of men and masculinity that gets dumped in our laps. And certainly, on the individual level toward the predominantly men who continue to propagate it to prop themselves up because they've failed to handle their insecurities. But women who propagate the same nonsense get blasted pretty quick too.

It seems men tend to be hive minded much more than women. That has its uses, but in this instance, it's a detriment. They can't separate themselves. A woman says anything even remotely critical of any man and she's hating on ALL men. It applies to all of them, no matter how clear in her language she was. Conversely, one woman breaks their heart or does them wrong and ALL women are like this, this is the nature of women, and why you can't trust them, and this, that, and the third.

It creates this brush fire that's constantly threatening to erupt into a wildfire of misogyny. So, always the litany...women are not a monolith, women are not a monolith, women are not a monolith.

Thanks for yhr heads up about Russell's comment, I'll check it out when I get home.
