In fact, it enhances it because now via self awareness you're primed to take the lead and "steer the boat" if and when the need and opportunity in your own life should arrive in your own life instead of watching helplessly while the boat goes over a falls or crashes into rocks.

This gives you power, instead of stripping it from you.

Now you don't have to be a leaf in the wind, at the mercy of forces outside your control. Now you can be the master of your own destiny, the captain of your soul.
