In America you would start voting more with your dollars and your time in building up local communities toward self sufficiency.

It doesn’t address everything, obviously, but right now any movement in the right direction is progress. Some other grass roots movement is going to have to become strong enough to challenge our political structure successfully. That takes time. Until then, they have no incentive to change and we are stuck.
