I'm not where I can check those statistics easily right now, but for argument's sake say you're right.

Finland may be one of the most gender equal nations but Japan also allows for a fair amount of gender fluidity, even though it strongly adheres to dominance hierarchy, or patriarchy. Further, Japan's expression of patriarchy doesn't bar men from emotional literacy like it does here in the US or other European nations. Men are not shamed for crying. There is a deep reverence for art and grace and beauty in Japan. You don't have to hate the feminine to punch your man card in Japan.

All of these things just brings us back to the fact that you can't separate patriarchy from culture as though they are completely separate things. They are not. Any kind of meaningful comparative evaluation is going to have to exist on a scale.
