I’m not sure it is. These things stem from childhood. Still, regardless of where you’re raising put you and how you were trained to operate in the world, these are learned skills.

So why do some men and some women choose to remain vulnerable to manipulation or worse? According to other psychological thought, there must be some pay off. Is deconstructing ones thought processes and behaviors so horrible or difficult to some?

I don’t know. Maybe.

But it seems to me one never truly grows up and becomes an adult until they have gone through that process.
