I'm not judging them for prioritizing entertainment over informed voting, and I'm not attacking you.

I'm judging the hypocrisy and criticizing the narrative that allows it to take root.

We all make our choices.

In this country voting is not a requirement or a law, it's a choice. Anyone who would rather not take on the civic responsibility of voting, which is doing so informed, can choose not to vote.

If youre truly too busy, that's fine. That's believable, excuse able, and acceptable. So don't vote. No one will judge you, we get it.

But if youre truly too busy, then you're also too busy to go vote. If you prioritize entertainment, then stay home and watch professional wrestling or a soap opera. Be consistent.

But all these people voted. We know from the aftermath there's a lot of regret from Trump voters now that they're coming to understand what they voted for. We're going to be hearing all sorts of excuses for the fact that they voted to be entertained by "liberal tears" and "liberal pain". They voted to stick it to someone else to make themselves feel better. We're all suffering from economic pain. We didn't all vote to make it worse just to hurt someone else.
