I'm not familiar with this author. Sounds more like someone my sister would have liked. She like the Boxcar Kids. I mostly lijed animal stories. Same reason though, looking for safe and predictable friends. Funny how that works out, isn't it? I couldn't get into Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys either, but Trixie Belden was okay. And there were horses.
