I'm not denying that certain elements are trying for Handmaids Tale . But it's not working. They're having to subvert the rule of law to do it. There will be repurcussions for that.

Also, this time is different. We know we're capable. It's not a nebulius dream any more, it's a known fact. We're organized better than when we were more isolated. There's the aboetion pill and birth control so our repriductive capabilities can't be as readily used against us. Making them illegal won't do anything. They'll just be smuggled in a long with all the other drugs. You can't lock us all up. We can more readily turn to toys for pleasure and, frankly, it's better most of the time. Single motherhood isn't as stigmatized as it once was and the realities that it's preferable than staying in marriage cannot be denied. More women are choosing single motherhood from the start.

Abortion bans are clearly gutting the states dumb enough to pass them. Birth rates are taking a nose dive, so clearly the opposite of intent is happening.

I don't think it's the forefone conclusion you think it is. But we'll see.
