Im developing this idea and you make an interesting point. But what you're doing, is determininf that to hate something or someone is only ever achieved at Level 10 intensity. Right? It's vitriolic and it's visceral. It's Heathcliffe from Withering Heights, "and though I hate him [Andrew] with a bitterness that has turnes my life to gall..."

Okay. I see what you're saying, and I can't disagree that that is hate.

But.

What about number 9? Is that still hate?

How about 8? Are we still at a level of vitriol to say we're in hate territory?

5?

How about 3, or 2?

Where on the road from 1 to 10 do we cross the threshold to "hate"?

And even if it's the end result of a spectrum of negative emotion, could we not recognize the negative scale as Hate just as we recognize the pisitive scale as Love. Even though Love also might not be reached until you've hit 10 or whatever threshold number?

Especially when you're talking about groups? And group experience being on the receiving end?

Think about it and follow along.
