If the police and the legal system were adequately tackling the problem it wouldn't be so out of hand.
If the bulk of the problem is men don't understand consent and women don't feel safe saying no assertively and authoritatively because they might get murdered....there's no way that the police and thr justice system can correct the problem.
It has to be done socially. And that's going to take some time and there will be some missteps along the way.
Socially, you prevent more of it from happening.
Criminally, men get a slap on the wrist and women continue bearing the brunt of the fallout to the point where we lose social cohesion.
And that's happening now. Women didn't just wake up in a funk one morning and decide en masse that we don't want men in our lives anymore just to hurt your feelings.
We're just realizing there's not much point in investing in men as we have been. It won't be returned amicably and favorably. We're always going to have to watch our backs aroud men .
