If it helps, it's not your maleness that makes you the enemy.

Some people buy into the dominator/competition model of human existence. Some of those people are female, even though for some stupid reason way back when that model got associated with masculine energy. How stupid, right? What in the world does being a bully have to do with beards, chest hair, testicles, and penises? Not a damn thing. When women bully, they are notorious for their viciousness. And also, bruises heal. Psychological bullying tends to hurt a lot longer.

If I run I to Phyllis Schlayfly in the afterlife she better steer clear. I saw a TikTok the other day where a woman said women didn't have the leadership ability to be president because we're too emotional. A woman. It was a gut punch because she's not the only woman who believes that.

Some people see a partnership, collaboration model of human existence as the better way to go about things. Some of those people are male. But for some stupid reason way back when, that model got associated with femininity? How stupid, right? What in the world does cooperation have to do with curves, breasts, vaginas, or bearing children? Not a damn thing. Without the ideals of cooperation, how could your dad have taught you to ride a bike? How could there be sports? How could armies exist? How could hunting large game have been successful? Or building? Or agriculture and food preservation?

People who believe this way tend to make the best leaders because they are servant leaders. They bring out the best in others because they don't tear people down. They lift them up. People would die for them. I'll grant you, it's hard to list examples because none come to mind that are perfect examples. We have been living under a dominator hierarchy for 13k years, after all, it's insidiously entrenched. But, Martin Luther King Jr. is a decent example. If I see him in the afterlife, I want to thank him. There are many many more men on a smaller level, stepping forward in the aftermath of #MeToo to try to change rape culture and redefine masculinity outside the parameters of violence. We all benefit from their work.

To come to the point, what you see when you look in the mirror is not what labels you as an enemy of women. It never will. That's just packaging. How you act in regards to your fellow human beings is what will label you one way or the other. That's what says the most about who you are and what you believe in. So be aware of others, be wise, and be kind, except maybe when you need to check dominator behavior. 😉
