If men want respect, they need to cut the shit and stop playing games. Stop commodifying dating and sex. That would be a solid start.

But I don't see where 'men' care about respecting women outside of using it as a means of control. She has to be this, that, and the third to be worthy of basic humanity, let alone respect of any kind.

They bark a lot about not getting respect though. Which also tends to be a means of control. She has to be and do this, that, and the third in order to prove she respects him. The goal posts are constantly moving and it's never fucking enough.

Which brings us back to if men want respect, they should earn it. First order of business might be to stop using the concept to emotionally and psychologically torture women who have shown up with their whole heart in good faith to date you.

And for the ones who didn't come in good faith with their whole heart, if you want respect, then cut those loose and stop dicking around. You're not on any moral high ground when you choose to grapple with a User to see who wins in the grand User game.
